Due to airport security and safety problems, requests to take photos for non-commercial purposes must be sent to the Airport Communication Department. Depending on the request, the latter will act as an interface with the competent government departments (Border Police, Civil Aviation Department, Customs Services, Gendarmerie, etc.).
Access to the reserved area (beyond the screening inspection stations) will be subject to minimum advance notice of 48 hours for processing by the Civil Aviation services, and will require a precise declaration containing the names of the persons working on the report, together with a copy of an identity document.
In some cases, processing of a photography request may require several days.
In addition, the government's various departments and SA ADBM reserve the right to limit the reporting perimeter, and may also turn down requests.
