Air Transat extends its range of Canada flights and adds an extra flight from Bordeaux

Maisons-Alfort, 15 November 2017 – Canadian scheduled airline Air Transat is boosting its services for summer 2018, increasing capacities on flights to Montréal from Bordeaux Airport.

Passengers will be able to enjoy 3 direct flights per week (rather than 2) leaving from Bordeaux.

This extra flight will mean more flexibility, in addition to the option of onward domestic flights from Montreal, which have now been available for over two years. Once they have arrived in Montreal from Bordeaux, travellers will be able to fly on to Quebec, Toronto or Vancouver. The flight programme has been designed to enable connections between the flights to and from Europe and Canadian domestic flights.

Air Transat also offers a multi-destination option, allowing passengers to land in one city and take off from another, at no extra cost. This is just one of a whole host of reasons to discover the great country that is Canada.

“Increasing our capacities provides travellers with more choice”, states Lydia Morinaux, General Manager for France at Air Transat. “This move fits well with our “point to point” strategy: meeting the client in the city where they live, all over France, and taking them to their final destination. This is a key element of our customer relations approach which reinforces our position as leaders on the market with an unrivalled range of flights to Canada from eight French cities.”

Pascal Personne, Chairman of the Executive Board at Bordeaux Airport, states: “Air Transat is adding to its existing offer which should stimulate the market, notably because of its short connections to the North American continent. This third flight also makes South-West France more accessible to Canadians, who represent an increasingly large number of tourists every year in our region.”
