Previously offered during the summer season only, the Bordeaux–Montreal route was extended on a temporary basis last winter for a highly successful trial. Backed by these strong results, Air Transat is now making it a year-round service. Consequently, it will henceforth operate during the winter with two non-stop flights per week using Airbus A321LR aircraft.
"This expansion is designed to better meet the needs of passengers looking to visit family and friends or plan trips outside of peak season," said Sébastien Ponce, Chief Revenue Officer at Transat. "By offering this route continuously, we provide more choice and flexibility, while making travel between the Bordeaux region and Canada seamless all year round."
"We are delighted to see the direct route between Bordeaux and Montreal extended across the entire winter season. This extension answers a strong expectation, driven by the deep-rooted historical, family, and cultural ties between Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Quebec. This year-round accessibility perfectly illustrates a lasting relationship between our two regions and provides a fantastic opportunity to experience Canada, which is particularly magical in winter," said Cyrielle Clément, Route Development Manager at Bordeaux Airport.

Little Extras That Make All the Difference:
Beyond making Canada accessible to residents of the Bordeaux region, the airline sets itself apart through the warm welcome extended to its passengers by its cabin crew, as well as its excellent value for money. Regardless of the fare class chosen, all passengers benefit from a carry-on bag, a personal item, and a hot meal—comprising a salad, main course, and dessert, accompanied by a selection of alcoholic or soft drinks. These are all arguments that have earned it the title of "World’s Best Leisure Airline" six times.
