Summer 2025 is set to be a vibrant season for Bordeaux, with enhanced links to major international hubs and a reinforced point-to-point network across Europe and popular sun-soaked destinations.

From Dakar to Copenhagen, and from Montreal to Istanbul, summer 2025 is set to be a vibrant season for Bordeaux, with enhanced links to major international hubs and a reinforced point-to-point network across Europe and popular sun-soaked destinations. Committed to continually improving connectivity from Nouvelle-Aquitaine, 86% of routes will be international. From late March, 30 new direct services will be introduced, bringing the total to 105 connections across 78 destinations, served by 21 airlines.

A vibrant summer 2025 on the Mediterranean axis…

While many of this summer’s routes were already available last year, albeit operated by different carriers, Bordeaux Airport is further strengthening the relevance of its network in 2025, working closely with its long-standing airline partners. The airport is set to launch the new season with 30 additional direct routes, including four brand-new destinations compared to 2024, offering travellers an even wider range of choices. Among them:

  • easyJet is introducing eight new routes, including Faro, Dubrovnik, Corfu, and Rabat.
  • Transavia is launching nine new routes, including Tirana, a first for Bordeaux, while also extending several services introduced this winter, such as Istanbul, Marrakech, Seville, and Agadir.
  • Volotea is expanding its network with nine popular routes, including Bari, Barcelona, Menorca, and Malta.
  • Air France, Air Arabia, and Aer Lingus are adding new connections to Calvi, Tangier, and Cork, respectively.

… and to intercontinental hubs

With a focus on offering passengers a well-balanced choice of airlines, Bordeaux Airport is committed to working with network carriers to meet the expectations of both travellers and regional economic stakeholders. With 14 intercontinental hubs* providing global connections, this momentum has led to an unprecedented expansion of services from established network airlines:

  • Turkish Airlines: +54% increase in seat capacity to its international hub in Istanbul
  • KLM: +32% increase in capacity to the Amsterdam hub
  • Air Transat: +12% increase in capacity to the Montreal hub

Rebuilding key markets

With a total of 4.5 million seats available for the summer season, routes to strategic markets have been reinforced. Birmingham, Edinburgh, and Cork further enhance connectivity to the British Isles, Bordeaux’s second-largest international market.  Meanwhile, connections to and from Belgium (Brussels and Charleroi) – particularly popular with travellers – will now be operated by three airlines: Transavia, easyJet, and Volotea.
