British Airways will resume its presence in Bordeaux by launching five-time-weekly service to London-Heathrow.

Before the Covid-19 crisis, BA was operating to Gatwick. In 2019, it generated 120,000 annual passengers.

The first flight will take off on 1st August. The service will be operated by the 180-seater A320, from & to Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport.

Jean-Luc Poiroux, VP of Bordeaux Airport Business development says: « The BA’s choice is a proof of our market strength, short haul, with the UK but also long haul to North America and Asia. Bordeaux and his area has been historically connected with the UK for several centuries. The New Aquitaine region, the largest  in France, is diverse and so surprising. Wide natural open spaces, cultural cities, mythical beaches and a dynamic economy turn to export. This new route puts Bordeaux Airport on the IAG’s  strategical  map. »
