Finnair to launch a new direct flight between Bordeaux and Helsinki and increase its European presence in 2019

The Finnish airline Finnair has announced the opening in France of a new direct route between Bordeaux and Helsinki

The Bordeaux-Helsinki route will operate until 14 September 2019, providing  residents of the Bordeaux region with up to two weekly opportunities to fly to the Finnish capital. Helsinki offers a multitude of activities that both children and adults can enjoy all year round. It is the ideal nature destination and city getaway, just a 3 1/2 hour flight from Bordeaux. In summer, the city hosts a number of festivals and other events which make perfect occasions to enjoy a change of scenery and a breath of fresh air in the surrounding area.

Flight schedule

1 weekly flight every Saturday from 11 May to 14 September 2019

  • Departing from Bordeaux-Mérignac at 10:20 - arriving at Helsinki at 14:50
  • Departing from Helsinki at 06:40 - arriving at Bordeaux-Mérignac at 09:15

1 additional weekly flight on Tuesdays during the peak summer period, from 26 June to 6 August 2019

  • Departing from Bordeaux-Mérignac at 10:50 - arriving at Helsinki at 15:20
  • Departing from Helsinki at 07:15 - arriving at Bordeaux-Mérignac at 09:50

Bordeaux-Helsinki return flights are available from €236 including taxes*

The new route will operate with A319 aircraft.
