Ryanair opens new Bordeaux base

Ryanair, Europe’s No. 1 airline, today (3 Apr) celebrated the opening of its new Bordeaux base (its 2nd base in France) and the launch of 29 routes, including 20 new routes to exciting destinations such as Copenhagen, Mykonos and Tangier, as part of its Summer 2019 schedule. Furthermore, Ryanair will operate a record of 37 routes thanks to the early start of its winter 2019 schedule, beginning in October.

Ryanair’s Bordeaux Summer 2019 schedule will deliver:

  • 2 based aircraft ($200m investment)
  • 20 new routes: Bari (2 per week), Cologne Bonn (3), Copenhagen (3), Dublin (2), Faro (2),         
  • Fez (2), Krakow (2), Lamezia (2), Lisbon (5), Malaga (3), Manchester (2), Marrakesh (2), Marseille (daily), Mykonos (1), Nantes (4), Naples (2), Ouarzazate (2), Tangier (2), Valencia (2) & Venice Treviso (3)                                      
  • 29 routes for summer 2019
  • 84 weekly flights
  • 1.4 million customers p.a. (+186%)
  • 60 new Ryanair jobs
  • 1,050* “on-site” jobs p.a.

To celebrate the opening of its Bordeaux base and 20 new routes, Ryanair has released seats from just €19.99 for travel between April and June, which are only available for booking on the Ryanair.com website until midnight Friday (5 April).

In Bordeaux, Ryanair’s Yann Delomez said:

“Summer has officially landed, and we’re pleased to open our new Bordeaux base (our 2nd in France) with 29 routes including 20 new routes, as part of our Summer 2019 schedule.
