AGADIR AND PRAGUE, POPULAR DESTINATIONS FOR BORDEAUX TRAVELERS
Volotea continues to expand its presence in Bordeaux with the announcement of two new routes, further strengthening its commitment to improving connectivity in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region:
With the addition of Agadir and Prague, Volotea will now connect Bordeaux to 37 destinations in 10 countries (Algeria, Belgium, Croatia, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Morocco, and the Czech Republic), further diversifying its network.
“Bordeaux is a key base for Volotea and represents a true stronghold for the airline in France. We’re delighted to expand our offering for residents of Bordeaux with the launch of these two new routes to Agadir and Prague—made possible by the arrival of a new Airbus A320 this May. For over 12 years, we’ve been working to improve Bordeaux’s connectivity to the rest of France and Europe, showing our long-term commitment to travelers in Nouvelle-Aquitaine while actively supporting the local economy by creating many jobs,” said Gilles Gosselin, Volotea’s Country Manager for France.
2025: A RECORD YEAR IN SIGHT FOR VOLOTEA IN BORDEAUX
As of May 2025, Volotea will further cement its presence in Bordeaux with the arrival of a new Airbus A320. With three aircraft now based at the airport, the airline will offer a record-breaking annual capacity of 1.2 million seats—an increase of 32% compared to 2024 and 69% compared to 2019. This expansion also comes with the creation of 30 new direct jobs, bringing the total to 110 direct positions at the Bordeaux base, along with nearly 630 indirect jobs, a testament to Volotea’s significant economic and social footprint in the region.
