The Summer 2026 programme reflects a strategy of consolidation: maintaining the most popular internationalroutes, adding highly attractive leisure services and diversifying the airline offering with the arrival of network carrier SAS Scandinavian, a member of SkyTeam.
Bordeaux Airport is offering a summer route network tailored to identified demand in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine market, supporting travellers’ desire to explore and facilitating essential travel needs.
Summer 2026 is marked by the arrival of Scandinavian Airlines ( at Bordeaux Airport. The Scandinavian carrier, a member of the SkyTeam alliance, will launch a direct service to Copenhagen from May. Operated twice weekly, this route provides access to a major European hub, facilitating onward connections to North ern Europe and beyond.
Wizz Air, which has been operating in Bordeaux since late 2025, continues to strengthen its presence in the region. The Hungarian low-cost airline will operate four direct routes in Summer 2026 to Rome, Venice, Bucharest and London Luton. Its modern fleet consists of more than 70% Airbus A321neo aircraft, offering improved fuel efficiency.
As part of its network consolidation strategy, Summer 2026 will also see the continuation of nine direct routes previously operated during the winter season:
“With more than 80 direct destinations for the summer season, Bordeaux Airport confirms a clear ambition: bringing regions and people closer together through a clear and purposeful network built to serve the region. International destinations now represent 94% of the network. Twenty-six countries are connected, and access to 10 major hubs opens up the world,” said Simon Dreschel, Chairman of the Executive Board of Bordeaux Airport.
