Photo authorisation

Find out the procedure to follow if you are a journalist wanting to illustrate your articles or reports about the airport.
Photo authorisation

For airport safety and security reasons, you must make an official request at least 72 hours before you take any non-commercial photographs of the Bordeaux Airport and its surrounding property. You can do this using our form or by contacting the communications department directly. We will liaise with the relevant national authorities, including border police, the civil aviation authority, customs and local police.

Entering restricted zones and prohibitions on photos

  • Authorisation to restricted-access areas (i.e. areas beyond security screening points) is granted by civil aviation authorities.
  • Access requests must be made at least 72 hours in advance,
  • Full names and copies of ID must be provided for all reporters and crew.

It can take several days to process photography requests in some cases. All public bodies and Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport SA reserve the right to restrict journalists’ access or to refuse entry.
