Key platform on the international scene dedicated to professionals in the wine and spirits sector, Vinexpo Bordeaux will be held for its 20th edition from 13 to 16 May 2019. In a few figures, Vinexpo welcomes 2,000 exhibitors, 40,000 trade visitors (representing 150 countries) and 850 international journalists (according to the impact of the 2017 edition). This year's main partners are Air France and Alibaba Group. Vinexpo is the only independent trade fair organiser entirely dedicated to the wine and spirits sector. In 37 years, Vinexpo has acquired a unique understanding of the market and a vast network of influential distributors around the world.  The brand now organizes events in four international cities: Bordeaux, Hong Kong, New York, and soon Paris in January 2020, in addition to a travelling event, Vinexpo Explorer.

This major exhibition in the wine world is a key event for the region in terms of economic benefits and reputation. Wine has a central place in the attractiveness and in the economic and touristic development of the Bordeaux region.
With a production of around 1 billion bottles per year, there are 4.3 million visits to the Gironde vineyard. This activity has a significant impact in terms of image and economy. Indeed, wine tourists spend almost twice as much as summer tourists and their stay in the vineyard creates a positive effect on the attachment to the region and its wines, and also contributes to the good image of the territory.
