Travel restrictions

Travelling abroad

Any exit from our territory is regulated. Since 9 June 2021, a classification of countries and specific procedures for travel to and from French territory have been defined. Find out more on the government website.

Sanitary measures are established according to the host country.
For country-specific information and recommendations, please visit the Travel Advice pages of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. Simply select a country from the list for detailed information.

Think about it! Register your trip on Ariane, an online service of the Public Service. You will be alerted in case of a crisis and receive information and safety instructions by e-mail or SMS.

Travelling in France

In mainland France, you can travel freely.

Travelling to France

Any French person, as well as their spouse and children, may enter France subject to compliance with the health regulations in force.
Entry into France, including for the European Union, is conditional on the presentation of a negative PCR test.

It is recommended to isolate oneself for seven days once in France, and then to do a second PCR test at the end of this seven-day period.

Specific rules apply for travel from or to the overseas territories. To find out about the measures in force, consult the dedicated page on the government website.
