Travelling abroad

Travel is authorised between 6am and 6pm.
If you must travel during the curfew between 6pm and 6am, please bring your flight ticket and the exemption certificate  downloadable here.

From Monday 18 January, external European borders are closed except for essential travel and all international arrivals must show proof of a negative Covid-19 test taken up to 72 hours prior to departure for entry into France. You will still need to self isolate one week.

Sanitary measures are established according to the host country. 
For country-specific information and recommendations, please visit the Travel Advice pages of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. Simply select a country from the list for detailed information.

Think about it! Register your trip on Ariane, an online service of the Public Service. You will be alerted in case of a crisis and receive information and safety instructions by e-mail or SMS.
 

Travelling in France

You can travel freely in the territory between 6am and 6pm. Travel between regions is allowed. 

If you must travel during the curfew between 6pm and 6am, please bring your flight ticket and the exemption certificate  downloadable here.

You can generate your derogation travel certificate in digital format, or fill in your certificate manually. 
To download the travel certificates, go to the Ministry of the Interior website.
 

Travelling to France

Any French person as well as their spouse and children can return to France.

From Monday 18 January 2021, travellers coming from outside the European Union will have to present a negative PCR test in order to enter the national territory and make a sworn commitment to respect a seven-point limit.

Health checks on entry to overseas territories are subject to different measures depending on the territory. For more information on the health restrictions of each community, please consult the website of the corresponding prefecture.
