Volotea in Bordeaux Airport

Volotea celebrates 6 years at Bordeaux Airport.

2018 was a great year for the Spanish company with 661,000 passengers in Bordeaux and 29% growth in traffic.

For 2019, Volotea is proposing 30 destinations, three of which are new and 18 exclusive. This year, the company will be offering 800,000 seats with four Airbus A319 aircraft based in Bordeaux.

easyJet in Bordeaux Airport

easyJet opened its base in March 2018.

One year on, the company is offering 37 routes from Bordeaux, four of which are new for summer 2019 and 16 of which are exclusive.

In 2018, easyJet carried 2,150,000 passengers, which is a third of the total number of travellers that came through the airport. The company has created 110 local jobs and has increased its investments by 21%.

Ryanair in Bordeaux Airport

Ryanair, the third-ranked low-cost company in Bordeaux, posted half a million passengers in 2018 and growth of 8.9%.

In April, the company opened its new base in Bordeaux with two aircraft and boosted its network with 18 new destinations. Even before the start of the 2019 summer program, the company announced the arrival of a third aircraft from October onwards and the addition of new destinations for winter 2019-2020. In one year's time it is expecting to exceed the one million passenger mark. Ryanair’s base has created 60 new jobs and an investment of $200 million.
