Football : Bordeaux will host football matches at the new Matmut Atlantique stadium which has all the facilities required for the event.

Surf : Surfing, the no.1 sport in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, might be included in the 2024 Olympic Games program after its much-noted entry in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. With 250 kilometres of coastline, Nouvelle-Aquitaine is known for its magnificent waves in Biarritz, Lacanau, Hossegor, Anglet and Biscarosse, all now internationally renowned spots for surfing: surfing in France was born here. However, surfing is much more than a sport and brings significant economic benefits to the Bordeaux region.

For the entire coast of Nouvelle Aquitaine, the economic revenue from surfing is an estimated €2 billion a year, representing some 3,500 jobs, making it the ideal place to host Olympic events! The games will turn the international spotlight on the Bordeaux region.
