The Latécoère company is located in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, in the Landes department. It specialises in interconnection systems and works primarily on wiring for civilian aircraft orders for  Dassault and Airbus.

Latécoère is investing more than €20 million over the next three years to transform its Landes entity into a "smart factory". This project will allow for a 40% boost in productivity. The aim is for the factory to become an "incubator for global innovations in wiring for the group." It is important for the company to develop an industrial intelligence centre on this site, since it is strategically located just 40 minutes from Dassault in Mérignac and two hours from Airbus in Toulouse.

This modernisation is not expected to have any negative effect on employment: according to the equipment manufacturer, it will "make new markets accessible through technological investments and cutting-edge innovations. This will result in greater agility and responsiveness in order to better meet customer needs".

In other words, its investment will allow Latécoère to diversify its customer base, for example by expanding into the railway, shipbuilding, energy or even healthcare sectors.
