Volotea celebrates the 6th anniversary of its Bordeaux base

Volotea, the airline of the European regional capitals, is today celebrating the 6th anniversary of its Bordeaux base.

The 6th anniversary of the base was celebrated today in the presence of (photo from left to right): Olivier Occelli (Bordeaux Tourist Office), PierFrancesco Carino (Volotea), Pascal Personne (Bordeaux Airport), Olivier Lombardie (Opéra National of Bordeaux) and Lionel Lepouder (Invest in Bordeaux-CMS).

With 2.5 million passengers carried, Volotea has created 120 local jobs since 2013 and contributes 22% to the growth of Bordeaux airport.

Since its arrival, the company has constantly expanded its network to offer more and more destinations to Bordeaux residents. Three new lines are being launched this year:

  • Vienna, from 12 April with 2 flights per week (Monday and Friday)
  • Lanzarote, from 13 April, with 1 flight per week (Saturday)
  • Pula, from 5 June, with 1 flight per week (Wednesday)

Volotea has a base of 4 aircraft in Bordeaux and now operates to 30 destinations.
