Reduction in airport charges for international passengers

To encourage the return of international flights from outside of Europe, Bordeaux Airport has decided to totally rework its fee system.

That's why, charges for international passengers has been removed. Since September 1st, there are only 2 categories:

  • charges for passengers going to Schengen country destinations (including domestic)
  • charges for passengers going to non-Schengen country destinations 

This means that passengers for non-EU countries fall into the second category. The new charge will be €5.27 per passenger leaving from Bordeaux. In comparison, the international charge in 2020 was €8.35. The new rate thus offers a reduction of 37% (€3.08 less per departing passenger). It applies since September 1st.
