Dakhla

Located in downtown Dakhla, the Santa Maria church, built when the town was known as Villa Cisneros, is an architectural landmark of the Spanish colonial era. Although no longer used for worship, it remains a symbol of the region's historical heritage.

Less well-known than its northern counterpart, couscous from southern Morocco is distinguished by its slow cooking and mild spices. In Dakhla, it is often served with grouper, a noble fish, and melting vegetables. A generous dish, full of flavor and deeply rooted in local traditions.
