As the pioneer of low cost flights in Europe, EasyJet is now one of the continent's biggest airlines in all classes of air travel. The company manages more than 100 routes, most of which are in Europe and the Mediterranean. It operates dozens of direct flights from Bordeaux Airport.
In 2018, EasyJet made Bordeaux its sixth French base. The airline had been operating there since 2006, particularly after billi, France’s first 100% low cost terminal, was opened. It is one of the biggest airlines to operate out of Bordeaux, both in terms of passenger numbers and network size.
